And Then There Was Joy.

This is the personal site for the Lein family – John, Miriam, Elise, Emma, Will and Seth.

John
John is very busy these days working as a web designer for Acumen, keeping our store up and running (www.BabyVardo.com), and keeping up with Oddbeat, Inc. on the side. When he gets the chance for free time he enjoys painting, working in our vegetable garden, and wood-working.

Miriam
Miriam is also very busy these days.  She helps run Baby Vardo with John — developing new products, sewing products, and managing web sales.  She home-schools Elise, tries unsuccessfully to clean house, and takes care of the kids.

Elise
Elise is now 7 years old! She is a healthy, smart, and active child who seems to learn more every day. Elise really wants to learn how to play the piano this year. She will continue to learn ballet and do school at home.

Will

Will is now 3 years old.  He is teaching us every day how different boys are than girls.  His favorite things to do are copy Elise, play outside, and help Daddy.  He’s always raring to go, and is often in trouble.  But at the same time, he is sweet and loves to help carry and build. He is finally talking and will join in on some of Elise’s school projects this year.

Seth

Seth is 1 1/2 years old. He says a few words every now and then, loves to copy me cleaning, dance, and see how much trouble he can get into. He’s a handful, but we couldn’t imagine life without him.

Emma
Our daughter, Emma, passed away on February 22, 2006. She was 7 months old and one of our greatest joys. We continue to greive for her, but also rejoice in her complete healing. She had been having some health problems which many of our friends and family had been following via email and this website.
